A+ for presentation, C- for taste
I’ve tried to love the burgers at Pete Miller’s for years. At one time a couple years ago I really did love them. The last 3 attempts to eat at Pete’s, however have ended with a lot of burger on my plate and no doggy bag.
They have fabulous steaks, but the burgers? Meh, I’d rather get a quarter pounder…
Sure looks good though doesn’t it?

I had that problem & you know what it was? The health department has them over cooking the burger. I started ordering my HBs medium rare or even medium, and the taste is back. When they overcook the beef, it sucks. It could also be that they are pre-cooking. What you can do is ask, and ensure they start YOUR burger fresh.
Yes, it looks awesome, but if the taste has tanked, you are actually doing the restaurant a favor by finding out what is wrong. Good luck!
PS The only other option I can think of is that they’ve changed their source for ground beef. Once again, you might try talking to someone and finding out what’s changed. If you notice the difference, I’m sure other people do, too. You’re actually gonna be doing them a favor in the long run (depending on who you get to talk to, that is!)
